Meeting called to order
Presentation by Paul Ricciuti on “Smokey Hollow” to ask the
chapter to consider making a contribution to the redevelopment. The board has asked Paul if a master plan of
the project could be made available and to develop a list of specific projects
the chapter could consider supporting.
It was suggested to display the master plan and have a representative
from the foundation, possibly Hunter Morrison, to answer questions during the
cocktail hour at the annual dinner, November 15th. Paul will look into setting this up.
Meeting minutes:
Correction under new business – it was “passed” by the board to incorporate into future budgets to pay for the president and president-elect registration and hotel to attend the annual state convention.
Motioned by Bruce Sekanick, second by Tim Thomas, the minutes from September meeting were approved.

Annual Dinner- Reported by Art Morris:
The following arrangements for the
dinner are:
Venue: The Ohio
Historical Society Youngstown Center of Industry and Labor
Caterer: Saratoga (they will also provide the bar)
Music: String Quartet – play 6:30-8:00 (payment that
evening)
Flowers: Melissa has made arrangements
Invitations: Out to the members with reservations to be
made by October 30th to Mollie.
Sponsors: Letters have been sent out. Received six replies as of 10-24-03 =
$1,750.00
Awards-
Design Awards request for entries
due to Mollie tomorrow, Friday, October 24th.
Jury has been selected – Ronald
Reed, FAIA and Vince Leskosky, AIA.
Submittals will be sent to the
jury, along with an invitation to the dinner.
Discussion
of awards for the clients - Bruce and
Art will look into the cost, etc.

Website- No report.
Continuing Ed- No
report.
Gold Medal- Memo has
been sent out via fax and email to all members for nominations.
Perry will set up a meeting with committee to review the three nominations submitted.
Political Action/PR-
No report
Ohio Director- Tim
Thomas will attend the retreat slated for November.
Bruce and Jay shared a list of
ideas and suggestions they brought back from state convention in Dayton.
