For the second consecutive year, the "Light Up a Life Celebration Committee" has joined forces with The Western Reserve Health Foundation to raise funds in support of various departments within Tod Children's Hospital. The Committee is requesting that an architect, paired with a contractor, build a playhouse that would be sold through live auctions and raffles. The Committee hopes to have at least 3 playhouses to sell. They must be built by the first week of August. They will be shown at the Southern Park and Eastwood Malls, the Canfield Fair, Octoberfest, and possibly in different street parades in the Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties, as well as in certain areas of Western Pennsylvania. The promotion of the houses will begin in August and continue through early November when they will be placed in front of Tod Children's Hospital awaiting the November 20th celebration. The "Light Up a Life" Celebration will begin with a tree lighting ceremony followed by a reception with both live and silent auctions.

Contributions to this event will be greatly appreciated by the Committee, children receiving treament, and their families. Please remember that Tod Children's Hospital is the only children's hospital between Pittsburg and Cleveland.
