Through the work of the AIA's Diversity Council and the a more recently completed AIA Diversity Survey, the AIA has continued efforts to address equity in Architecture. At the 2016 AIA National Convention in Philadelphia, efforts to inform members on the benefits of diversity, inclusion and engagement continued with a presentation on how diversity positively affects everyone. The program, titled "Diversity: Not a 'woman-only-problem' " focused on information that supports the inclusion and engagement of a wider range of individuals in the organization and our firms.
