AIA Eastern Ohio, A chapter of the American Institute of Architects was awarded a three year accreditation as part of the AIA's Core Member Services program. The chapter was able to demonstrate that it successfully met the minimum standards as established by the Institute. The three year accreditation is the longest period offered by the AIA. Throughout 2015, AIA Eastern Ohio worked with other small Ohio components as part of the Small Chapter Round Table to share information and programming. Based on information released by the AIA, all components within Ohio received the full three year accreditation.
The AIA Core Member Services was developed over the past several years as a means for the AIA to help ensure that all members were receiving a basic level of services through their local component and that each chapter was meeting the minimum standards and requirements of their 501 (c)(6) status.
